Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals

We have worked extensively with NHS Scotland to provide BMS solutions to hospitals, clinics and health centres throughout Scotland. In many instances, this required the decommissioning of existing outdated controls equipment and installing new open protocol BACnet systems without disrupting patients and staff. By liaising with estates engineers, we handed over all of these contracts with minimal fuss and to the client's satisfaction.

Various BACnet systems have been installed within these NHS sites, including Distech, Tridium, Cylon and ISMA. The systems communicate with different standard items of plant, from boilers, air handling units and plate heat exchangers, to more close control systems within laboratories and clean rooms.

We have supplied total environmental control with heating, cooling and humidification interfaced with a remote surgeons panel, and have also provided the ability to interrogate the site via the various network keypads situated on the facia of the control panels and also at nurses' stations within the ward areas.

As well as the ability for local interrogation via the network keypads, all items of plant interfacing with the BMS controls system are accessible to the Estates Team BACnet Operated Workstations (BOWS) via the Hospital's Ethernet.

We also set up alarms to go to the on-call engineers' mobile phones to have an early warning system for any essential plant equipment items.
